Valencia Tourist Guide: Just a Step Away from the Jamaica Guesthouse



Valencia, land of flowers, light, and love, is the third largest city in Spain, but from our guesthouse, a pleasant walk takes you to many of the Levantine capital's attractions.

Here's a brief tourist guide to Valencia with a selection of must-visit sites, all just minutes from the Jamaica Guest House. You'll also find a list of the closest transportation options to our property.

Valencia city center and surrounding areas



Town Hall Square (5 min.) : surrounded by an explosion of architectural styles, it is a wide esplanade in the heart of the city.

Plaza de Toros (4 min.) : This is the Coliseum of Valencia, the scene of many concerts.

Central Market – La Lonja – Plaza de la Virgen – Plaza de la Reina – El Miguelete – Cathedral (12-15 min.) : the best way to explore the old town of a city is on foot.

Calle Colón (5 min.) : This is the shopping street par excellence in Valencia.

Ruzafa neighborhood (8 min.) : Valencia's alternative neighborhood where you can nourish yourself physically and culturally.

City of Arts and Sciences and Oceanographic Museum : 35 minutes on foot or 14 minutes by EMT bus line 15 from the Xátiva stop. Designed by Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava, this complex offers a wide range of exciting attractions.

Valencia History Museum: 40 minutes on foot or 11 minutes by metro (line 5). Learn about the history of the capital of the Turia River, from its origins to the present day.

Leisure, sports and entertainment



Although they are somewhat further away from our location, these three places could not be missed:

Valencia CF Stadium or Mestalla Stadium : it is a 30-minute walk or 12 minutes by metro , line 7 with a change from Xátiva.

Malvarrosa Beach: 38 minutes by EMT bus , line 32 from Town Hall Square.

Turia Gardens: You can reach the park along the Turia River in 20 minutes on foot.

Transport

Xátiva Metro (2 min.) : metro lines 3, 5, 9. Direct connection to Valencia Airport.

Bailén Metro (4 min.) : Metro line 7. Last stop: Marítim Serrería, where you can take tram 8 to the Juan Carlos I Royal Marina.

Marqués de Sotelo – Pl. de l'Ajuntament stop (3 min.) : Bus line 15, goes to the City of Arts and Sciences.

North Station (1 min.) : perfect if you want to visit the Valencian towns by train.

Joaquín Sorolla Station (AVE) : 10 minutes walk or free direct bus 1 minute from the guesthouse.
